The West Mecklenburg region is characterised by a very well-developed transport network. The rural and federal roads as well as the A24 and A14 motorways guarantee optimal connections everywhere.
With around 200 buses on 172 routes, the district's own transport company, Verkehrsgesellschaft Ludwigslust-Parchim mbH, provides comprehensive connections in all directions. Since an ICE line also runs through the district, the metropolises of Berlin and Hamburg can be reached in about an hour.
