The LUPOMAT – the portal for training & more in Southwest Mecklenburg
Employers are looking for apprentices, while students want to find suitable apprenticeship positions after finishing school. WiFöG, in collaboration with the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, brings both sides together. To make it easy for regional companies to connect with talented young recruits, we launched an online platform: LUPOMAT. On this job portal, employers from the district can post their apprenticeship and training vacancies free of charge. Students also have the opportunity to search for holiday jobs and internship offers near their homes. With LUPOMAT, we help young people from Southwest Mecklenburg get off to a successful start in their careers and enable them to build a future in the region where they already live.
SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Working Groups – strong networks for fostering the next generation
Our economic development agency advocates for close integration between businesses and schools within the district. For this reason, we have been actively involved for years in the numerous local “SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT” (School-Business) working groups. These networks facilitate the continuous coordination, updating, and optimization of collaboration and information exchange between the business community and the education sector. We provide companies with the opportunity to communicate their needs, expectations, and requirements regarding the next generation of skilled workers to schools in the immediate area. The result is a network of qualified partnerships that help prepare students early on for entry-level opportunities with regional companies. Our agency serves as the designated coordinator for the “SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT” network covering Ludwigslust and the surrounding area.
