If the processing of your personal data has been restricted, such data—with the exception of storage—may only be processed with your consent, for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content—such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator—this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small data packets that do not harm your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until your web browser automatically deletes them.

Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of specific services provided by third-party companies into websites (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies serve various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or video playback). Other cookies may be used to analyze user behavior or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide specific functions you have requested (e.g., the shopping cart function), or to optimize the website (e.g., cookies for measuring web audience)—referred to as “necessary cookies”—are stored based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies to ensure the technically error-free and optimized provision of their services. If consent for the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is based exclusively on that consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG); such consent may be revoked at any time.

You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to exclude the acceptance of cookies in specific instances or generally, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

You can find details regarding the specific cookies and services used on this website in this privacy policy. Consent via ConsentManager

When you visit our website, a connection is established with ConsentManager’s servers to obtain your consent and other declarations regarding cookie usage. ConsentManager then stores a cookie in your browser to associate the consent you have given—or its withdrawal—with you. The data collected in this way is stored until you request its deletion, delete the ConsentManager provider cookie yourself, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

ConsentManager is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.

In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), provided such consent has been requested; consent may be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your inquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory legal provisions—particularly statutory retention periods—remain unaffected.

Inquiries via email, telephone, or fax

If you contact us via email, telephone, or fax, your inquiry—including any personal data contained therein (such as your name and the details of the inquiry)—will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not share this data with third parties without your consent.

7. Our own services

Handling of applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply for a position with us (e.g., via email, by post, or using an online application form). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of the personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data take place in accordance with applicable data protection laws and all other legal provisions, and that your data is treated with strict confidentiality.

Scope and Purpose of Data Collection

When you submit an application to us, we process the associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication details, application documents, notes from job interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (general initiation of a contract), and—provided you have given your consent—Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Within our company, your personal data is disclosed only to individuals involved in processing your application.

If your application is successful, the data you submitted will be stored in our data processing systems for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship, based on Section 26 BDSG and Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Data Retention Period

If we are unable to offer you a position, or if you decline a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you submitted for up to six months following the conclusion of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application) based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Subsequently, the data will be deleted and physical application documents destroyed. Retention serves, in particular, evidentiary purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it becomes apparent that the data will be required after the six-month period has expired (e.g., due to an imminent or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place once the purpose for continued retention no longer applies.

Data may also be retained for a longer period if you have provided your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Inclusion in the Applicant Pool

If we do not offer you a position, there may be an option to include you in our applicant pool. If you are included, all documents and information from your application will be transferred to the applicant pool so that we may contact you regarding suitable vacancies.

Inclusion in the applicant pool takes place solely on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Providing consent is voluntary and is unrelated to the current application process. The data subject may withdraw their consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool, unless there are statutory retention requirements.

The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent is granted.

8. Use of the Ludwigslust-Parchim Geoportal

As part of our online services, we integrate the geoportal of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. The map application is technically provided by the Landesbetrieb Geoinformation und Vermessung Hamburg (LGV) [Hamburg State Agency for Geoinformation and Surveying] as part of the Geodata Infrastructure of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region (GDI-MRH). The Ludwigslust-Parchim district is a member of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region and uses this technical platform to fulfill its public tasks. When using the map application, technical information (e.g., IP address, date and time of access, details regarding browser type and end device) is processed in order to display map content and ensure the application’s functionality.

The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the user-friendly presentation of geoinformation as well as in the promotion of regional economic development and transparency regarding available locations and infrastructure.

Further information on data processing by the Landesbetrieb Geoinformation und Vermessung Hamburg can be found in their privacy policy at:
