The A24 and A14 motorways, along with the region’s highly developed transport network as a whole, ensure excellent connectivity. The district-owned transport company, Verkehrsgesellschaft Ludwigslust-Parchim mbH, provides comprehensive coverage across the district with a fleet of around 200 buses operating on 172 routes. In addition, an ICE high-speed rail line runs directly through the district, making Hamburg and Berlin accessible in approximately one hour.
