The Association for the Promotion of Continuing Education Information and Counseling (WIB e.V.) has been the operator of the state-wide information and counseling portal weiterbildung-mv.de for over 30 years. On behalf of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, we provide impartial and independent information and advice on all topics related to continuing education in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Join our team in Schwerin. Effective January 1, 2027, we are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) Financial and Payroll Accounting Specialist and Controller (m/f/d).
Your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining financial accounting, payroll accounting, and fixed asset accounting
- Preparing the Balance Sheet
- Cost Planning and Application for ESF Funding
- Accounting for ESF grants, including:
- Processing of funding requests; monitoring and accounting for the funds provided
- Assistance in preparing statements of funds used
- Handling Human Resources Matters
- Cooperation with Government Agencies and Authorities
- Processing of artists’ social security contributions, insurance matters, and internal documents
You bring the following:
- a bachelor’s degree in business administration or an equivalent qualification, or
- Completed vocational training in business, with several years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in implementing and managing funded projects is a plus
- Proficiency in using common MS 365 applications and digital literacy
- the ability to work independently and take initiative, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility
- A structured and meticulous approach to work, as well as strong organizational skills
- Initiative, analytical thinking, and the ability to continuously familiarize oneself with new legal and technical topics.
