Max Jacob Schilderfabrik GmbH is a certified manufacturer of traffic signs. We supply government agencies, public institutions, and businesses throughout Germany. Founded in Hamburg in 1912, our company has been based in Parchim (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) since 1992. We specialize in the production and installation of traffic signs, advertising and company signs, as well as lettering. Our company has a wealth of experience in screen printing and digital printing, sign painting, and the manufacture of display stands for small and large signs.
- Overall responsibility for the shipping department, including Planning, Organizing, and Optimizing Shipping Processes
- Active participation in shipping operations: packaging, labeling, order picking, and shipping preparation and processing
- Coordination of goods receipt, packaging, labeling, and shipping preparation and processing
- Collaboration with logistics service providers, freight forwarders, and internal departments (Purchasing, Sales, Production)
- Ensuring on-time deliveries; monitoring deadlines and target dates
- Preparing and reviewing shipping documents (delivery slips, freight invoices, etc.),
- Optimization of Packaging Solutions, Cost Reduction, and Sustainability Considerations in Shipping
- Leadership, guidance, and professional development of the shipping team; resource planning
- Handling customer complaints in the shipping department; collaborating with sales and quality assurance
- Completed business or logistics training, or a comparable qualification; preference given to candidates with a background in logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping management
- Several years of professional experience in shipping/shipping logistics, ideally with management experience
- In-depth knowledge of shipping operations,
- Basic technical knowledge required
- Proficiency in MS Office; ideally, experience with an ERP system
- Organizational Strength, Decision-Making Ability, and Leadership Skills
- Team-oriented, solution-oriented approach; flexibility and resilience
- Excellent written and spoken German skills
